12th House Sun
About
12th House Sun is an alternative rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, blending elements of shoegaze, emo, and grunge. The band was formed in 2019 by Kyle Schultz as a solo project, releasing two EPs during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, Schultz expanded the project into a full band, adding drummer Nick Luke, bassist Al Grooms, and guitarist Ryan Shea. The lineup also includes guitarists Ry Shea and Gabriel Miller, bassist Bee Schreiner, and drummer Sage Livergood. The band's music combines emotional lyricism with dreamy soundscapes and high-energy riffs, drawing inspiration from 2000s emo, 90s grunge, and modern shoegaze. They have released several singles and EPs, including 'Primary Colors' in February 2026 and their debut album 'Behind The Glass' in March 2024. 12th House Sun has been active in the Minneapolis music scene, performing locally and around the Midwest, and continues to work on new music.
