Alex Warren

About

Alex Warren (born Alexander Warren Hughes) is a singer-songwriter and content creator who rose to international fame through social media before establishing himself as a major force in the folk-pop revival. Born and raised in Carlsbad, California, Warren's early life was marked by the loss of his father at age nine and a period of homelessness at eighteen. He co-founded the TikTok collective 'The Hype House' in 2019, but eventually pivoted to music, signing with Atlantic Records in 2022. Known for his raw, vulnerable storytelling and powerful vocals, he refers to his style as 'dead people music.' His breakout success includes the 2024 single 'Burning Down' and the 2025 global hit 'Ordinary,' which topped the Billboard Hot 100. In 2026, he received a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.
