Animal Chin

About

Animal Chin was a prominent ska-punk trio from Minneapolis, Minnesota, active from 1996 to 2000. Named after the iconic 1987 skateboarding film 'The Search for Animal Chin,' the band consisted of Jamie Woolford (vocals/guitar), Andrew Gruhn (bass), and B.J. Wuollet (drums). They were a staple of the late-90s Midwest punk scene, gaining significant traction in Milwaukee and Wisconsin through frequent performances at venues like The Globe East and tours with local acts. The group released two full-length albums, 'All the Kids Agree' (1997) and '20 Minutes from Right Now' (1999), the latter of which was released on Fueled By Ramen. The band dissolved shortly before the release of their second album, with lead singer Jamie Woolford going on to form The Stereo, a project with deep ties to the Milwaukee music community.
