About
Aura Noir is a pioneering Norwegian blackened thrash metal band formed in 1993. Known for self-describing their sound as 'Black Thrash Attack', they were among the first to fuse the aggression of 1980s thrash metal (inspired by bands like Sodom and Kreator) with the aesthetics of the Norwegian black metal scene. The band's core lineup has featured prominent figures such as Aggressor (Carl-Michael Eide), Apollyon (Ole Jørgen Moe), and Blasphemer (Rune Eriksen).
