About
Balmora is a melodic metalcore band that has become a leading name in the early 2000s metalcore revival movement. Formed in 2022 by vocalist Chris Misenti, who also operates the influential Milwaukee-based record label Ephyra, the band draws heavy inspiration from the 'edge-metal' and melodic hardcore sounds of bands like Prayer for Cleansing, Undying, and Poison the Well. They gained widespread acclaim in the underground scene with their 2023 EP 'With Thorns of Glass and Petals of Grief' and are frequently associated with the Milwaukee hardcore community due to their label affiliation and heavy presence in the Midwest circuit.
