About
Bassvictim is a London-based electronic duo consisting of vocalist Maria Manow and producer Ike Clateman. Formed in 2022, the group is known for a self-described 'basspunk' sound that fuses electroclash, industrial, and dance-pop. They established a cult following through their 'Victim of the Bass' (VOTB) parties in South London. Their debut album 'Forever' (2025) received critical acclaim, including a spot on Pitchfork's '50 Best Albums of 2025' list. The duo is frequently associated with the 'indie sleaze' revival alongside acts like Snow Strippers and The Hellp.
