About

The Benjamins were a seminal pop-punk band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, active from 1998 to 2001. They rose to national prominence after signing with Drive-Thru Records and releasing their 2001 debut LP 'The Art of Disappointment,' produced by Nick Raskulinecz. The band featured brothers Jay and Chris Stys, bassist Ben Perlstein, and drummer Jon Phillip. They were key figures in the Milwaukee underground scene and regular performers on the Warped Tour before their breakup in late 2001. The members remained active in the music industry, with Jon Phillip later playing in Limbeck and founding Good Land Records. The band has reunited for several high-profile benefit shows, including performances in 2013, 2014, and 2023.
