Bewitcher
About
Bewitcher is a speed metal trio formed in 2013 by founding members M. von Bewitcher (vocals, guitar) and A. Magus (bass). Drawing heavy inspiration from first-wave black metal pioneers like Venom and Bathory, as well as the rock 'n' roll filth of Motörhead, the band has become a staple of the underground metal scene. They gained early attention with their 2013 demos 'Satanic Panic' and 'Wild Blasphemy,' followed by their self-titled debut album in 2016. After signing with Century Media Records, they released 'Cursed Be Thy Kingdom' (2021) and 'Spell Shock' (2024), the latter produced by Lars Frederiksen of Rancid. While based in Portland, the band is a frequent performer in the Milwaukee and Midwest underground circuits, including appearances at the Milwaukee Metal Fest and X-Ray Arcade.
