About

Chai was a Japanese rock band formed in 2012 in Nagoya, Japan. The group consisted of twin sisters Mana and Kana, along with Yuna and Yuuki. They gained recognition for their unique blend of experimental pop, indie dance, and disco-punk, and were known for promoting the concept of 'neo kawaii,' challenging traditional notions of cuteness in Japanese culture. The band released several albums, including 'Pink' in 2017, 'Punk' in 2019, and 'Wink' in 2021. They announced their breakup in January 2024, following their final Japanese tour in March 2024.
