Chapped Lips is a four-piece alternative rock band originally from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, now based in Milwaukee. The band consists of vocalist-guitarists Sam Kaffine and Slater Gutierrez, bassist Zach Schroeder, and drummer Jonah Mueller. They are known for their high-energy performances and a sound that blends power pop, funk, blues, and punk influences, drawing comparisons to The Strokes, Foxygen, and Stephen Malkmus. Their music features upbeat melodies paired with darker lyrical themes, creating a cathartic experience for both the band and their audiences. Chapped Lips has been active in the Milwaukee music scene, performing at venues like the Cactus Club and participating in local music festivals.
