City of the Sun is an American acoustic post-rock trio formed in 2011 in New York City. The band consists of guitarist John Pita and percussionist Zach Para, with guitarist Avi Snow joining in 2012. Their music blends influences from indie rock, flamenco, and gypsy jazz, creating a cinematic and worldly sound. They have performed at venues such as Brooklyn Steel, Irving Plaza, and the Gramercy Theatre, and have toured with artists like Peter Bjorn & John and Thievery Corporation. Their 2016 debut album, 'To the Sun and All the Cities in Between,' debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard jazz charts.
