Cody Parks and The Dirty South, formed in 2019 by frontman and songwriter Cody Parks, is a Nashville-based band that blends Southern roots with hard-hitting heavy metal, creating a unique genre they call "Country Metal." Drawing inspiration from legends like Mötley Crüe, Ratt, and Pantera, they infuse country music with heavy riffs and explosive breakdowns, transforming Nashville's Music Row into a Sunset Strip-worthy phenomenon. Their 2023 EP, "Smothered & Covered," featured singles that climbed to #2 and #7 on iTunes, earning them a growing Spotify listener base of over 155,000 monthly fans. In November 2024, they released "Country Metal, Vol. 1," further solidifying their presence in the music scene.
