Cola - Band

About

Cola is a post-punk band from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, formed in 2021 by former Ought members Tim Darcy (vocals, guitar) and Ben Stidworthy (bass), alongside drummer Evan Cartwright, known for his work with U.S. Girls. The trio's music is characterized by a minimalist approach, utilizing a stripped-down instrumentation of drums, bass, and guitar to create hypnotic cycles and angular post-punk sounds. Their debut single, "Blank Curtain," released in November 2021, received critical acclaim for its "gorgeously obsessive guitar groove." The band released their debut album, "Deep in View," on May 20, 2022, followed by their sophomore album, "The Gloss," on June 14, 2024. On February 18, 2026, they announced their third album, "Cost of Living Adjustment," set for release on May 8, 2026.
