About

Cole Chaney is an Appalachian singer-songwriter who rose to prominence in the independent country and folk scene with his 2021 debut album, 'Mercy.' Born in 2001 and raised in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, Chaney initially trained as a welder before pursuing music full-time. His storytelling focuses on blue-collar life and the cultural landscape of Eastern Kentucky, blending traditional bluegrass roots with a 'grunge country' influence inspired by 90s rock. His 2025 follow-up album, 'In the Shadow of the Mountain,' further solidified his reputation for raw, authentic narratives and powerful vocal delivery.
