About
Daydream Retrievers is a musical project led by Milwaukee-based singer-guitarist Ian Olvera. Following the disbandment of his previous group, The Sleepwalkers, in 2015, Olvera embarked on this new endeavor, releasing a self-titled debut album in 2017. The project showcases Olvera's songwriting and production skills, with him playing and recording most of the instruments himself. Over the years, Daydream Retrievers has released several singles, including "Static on TV" and "The Ballad of Who Could Care Less" in 2020, and "Living Hell" in 2022. In January 2026, the project released "Joke for a Light," marking their first new material in almost four years.
