Joel Thomas Zimmerman, known professionally as deadmau5, is a world-renowned Canadian electronic music producer and DJ. Born and raised in Niagara Falls, he began experimenting with music software and computer chips as a teenager. He gained international fame for his signature 'mau5head' helmet and his influential contributions to progressive and electro house music. He founded his own record label, mau5trap, and has received multiple Grammy nominations and Juno Awards throughout his career.
