About
Drew Peterson is an Americana singer-songwriter known for his raspy vocals, dry wit, and poetic storytelling. Often described as "as Minnesotan as you can get," Peterson's music is deeply rooted in his upbringing on a rural farm. He first gained a following as the frontman for the bands Forty Watt Bulb and the popular Twin Cities string band The Dead Pigeons, which formed out of a residency at Palmer’s Bar. Since 2017, he has focused on a solo career, touring extensively throughout the Midwest and becoming a frequent fixture in the Wisconsin music scene with regular performances at Milwaukee's Anodyne Coffee and venues in Door County. His songwriting is often compared to legends like John Prine, blending humor with hard-won observations on life.
