About
Frail Talk is an indie folk band formed in early 2020 in the foothills of Northern Colorado by Alex Woodchek and Cor Wright. Describing their sound as a 'blooming universe of squiggly indie music,' they blend folk roots with soft pop sensibilities and strange, spacey synthetic textures. Their work is characterized by honest, burgeoning lyricism that explores themes of nature, queer divinity, and the emotional landscapes of daily life. The duo has evolved into a collaborative project, working with musicians like Tobias Bank and Nathaniel Riley to produce albums such as their 2024 sophomore release, 'Microspirit.' The band has gained national recognition through features on NPR's Tiny Desk 'Top Shelf' and success on streaming platforms, consistently performing across the U.S. and maintaining an active presence in the independent music scene.
