About
Glixen is a prominent force in the modern American shoegaze renaissance, formed in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2020. Led by vocalist and guitarist Aislinn Ritchie, the band includes guitarist Esteban Santana, bassist Sonia Garcia, and drummer Keire Johnson. Their sound is characterized by a blend of heavy, textured 'wall of sound' guitars and ethereal, lulling vocals, drawing inspiration from icons like My Bloody Valentine, Björk, and Hum. They gained significant underground acclaim with their 2023 debut EP 'She Only Said,' released via Julia's War Records. In 2025, they released the EP 'Quiet Pleasures,' produced by Sonny DiPerri (DIIV, My Bloody Valentine), further cementing their status with a Coachella debut and extensive national tours alongside acts like Interpol, DIIV, and Nothing.
