Guardrail is a self-described "diet punk" band from Chicago, Illinois, with deep ties to the Milwaukee underground scene. Formed in 2014, the band consists of Kevin Andrew (vocals), Ken Ugel (guitar), Alyssa Laessig (bass, vocals), Doug Brand (drums), and Xack Brame (guitar). They are recognized for their energetic blend of pop-punk, skate-punk, and post-hardcore, characterized by massive hooks and a self-deprecating sense of humor. Signed to Open Your Ears Records, they released their debut full-length album, 'Content', in 2023. Guardrail is a staple in the Midwest DIY circuit and frequently performs at Milwaukee venues like Cactus Club and Anodyne Coffee, often collaborating with Wisconsin-based acts like Gold Steps and Honey Creek.
