About
Formed in 1992 in Altamonte Springs, Florida, Intoxicated is a veteran thrash/death metal act led by vocalist and guitarist Erik Payne. The band was a part of the early Florida extreme metal scene, receiving mentorship from Death's Chuck Schuldiner. After releasing a series of EPs in the 1990s, the band entered a long hiatus in 1999 as Payne and other members joined the touring band for Andrew W.K. Intoxicated reactivated in 2019, releasing the 'Walled' EP in 2020 and their debut full-length album 'Watch You Burn' in 2022. The band continues to be active in the Florida scene and is scheduled to release a new album, 'The Dome', in 2026.
