About
Liv Mueller is a veteran of the Milwaukee music scene, known for her distinctive "sparkle and smoke" vocals and a career spanning indie rock, alt-country, and post-punk. She first gained national attention in the mid-1990s as the frontwoman of the indie-rock trio The Lovelies, which formed in 1996. After the band's dissolution, she led the post-punk group The Dark Horse Project, recording in Louisiana to refine a haunted, atmospheric sound. Following periods living in Nashville and Austin, Mueller returned to Wisconsin to focus on a solo career. Her solo work includes the albums "Liv Sings Love Songs for the Forlorn and Misguided" (2012) and "Liv Sings Light of the Valley, Shadow of the Mountain" (2017). She remains active in the underground circuit, releasing new singles through 2024 and performing with the project VIDEOSEXPRIEST.
