Malcolm Todd Hobert (born September 15, 2003) is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter and producer known for his genre-blending approach to alternative R&B and indie pop [1, 12]. The son of television producer Tim Hobert, Malcolm began creating music at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic [5, 7]. He released his first EP, 'Demos Before Prom', in 2022, followed by 'Shower Shoes' in 2023, which featured the viral break-up song 'Roommates' [4, 6]. His career accelerated with the 2024 mixtape 'Sweet Boy' and his self-titled debut album in 2025, which landed on the Billboard 200 [7, 19]. His music is often compared to artists like Steve Lacy and Tyler, The Creator for its playful, experimental R&B-pop sound [7, 20].
