About
Men From Mars is a long-standing Milwaukee-based underground punk and alternative rock act that emerged in the late 1990s. The band is closely linked to the city's broader punk and new wave scene, with members who have played in other notable local groups. Bassist Mikey B. (also known as Mike Bee) was a member of the new wave/punk band The Blasphematics, and late guitarist Aaron K. Gorski (1978–2016) was a key collaborator who also played in The Etiquette and Crime and Judy. One of the band's most significant historical performances was opening for Sylvain Sylvain of the New York Dolls at the Cactus Club in late 2001. Known for their high-energy live shows and roots in the local power-pop and garage-punk circuits, the band has maintained a presence in the Milwaukee music scene for over two decades and continues to perform at venues like Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co.
