About
Monoculture is a psych/jazz fusion/tropicalia band from Chicago, formed over ten years ago by founding members Faayani Aboma Mijana and Nick Leibold. They have released two studio albums and a series of genre-bending singles, incorporating guitars, keyboards, synths, string sections, and orchestrations into their sound. Their lyrics address current political themes, and they have supported acts like Brian Jonestown Massacre and Mild High Club.
