About
Munroe is the musical moniker of actor and singer-songwriter Kathleen Munroe. Originally from Hamilton, Ontario, and currently based in Los Angeles, she has cultivated a significant cult following within the Milwaukee underground music scene. This local connection stems largely from her leading role in the Amazon series 'Patriot', which was filmed extensively in Milwaukee and featured a prominent folk-influenced soundtrack. Munroe's music is characterized by ethereal vocals, atmospheric arrangements, and dark, introspective lyricism. Her work is frequently covered by Milwaukee music platforms like 'Milwaukee Record' and 'Radio Milwaukee' due to the show's lasting impact on the city's creative community. She has released several acclaimed EPs and singles, including 'A Seasonal Warning' (2021) and 'Spring' (2025), and is a frequent collaborator with other artists in the indie-folk circuit.
