Nocturnal Sorcery is an underground black metal band from Vantaa, Finland, formed in 2011. The group is widely recognized for their traditional, raw, and melodic sound that draws heavily from the 1990s Finnish black metal aesthetic. The band features members from other notable Finnish acts such as Sadokist and Daemonlust. After spending several years in the underground demo scene—releasing 'Satanas Angels Victory Call' in 2014 and 'Symbols of Violent Death' in 2019—they made their full-length debut with 'The Holy Law in Total Ruin' in 2022 via the KVLT label. They followed this with their sophomore effort, 'Captive in the Breath of Life,' in February 2024. Their music is characterized by hateful vocals, shrill guitar work, and a dark, atmospheric presence that has earned them a dedicated following in the international metal community.
