About

Pantera is an American heavy metal band formed in Arlington, Texas, in 1981 by brothers Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul. They are credited with developing and popularizing the groove metal subgenre in the 1990s, with notable albums like "Cowboys from Hell" (1990) and "Vulgar Display of Power" (1992). The band disbanded in 2003 but reunited in 2022 with original members Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown, along with touring musicians Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante.
