Park

About

Park is a seminal melodic punk and emo band formed in 1996 in Springfield, Illinois. Fronted by vocalist and guitarist Ladd Mitchell, the band became a cornerstone of the Midwest underground music scene in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Signed to Lobster Records, they released several influential albums including 'No Signal' (2001), 'It Won't Snow in Where You're Going' (2003), and 'Building a Better ___' (2006). Their sound, characterized by thoughtful lyrics and high-energy arrangements, has been compared to acts like Alkaline Trio and Midtown. After a hiatus starting in 2007, the band returned in 2013 and has remained a respected fixture in the Milwaukee and Chicago music circuits, frequently performing at local venues such as X-Ray Arcade and participating in 'MKEMO' (Milwaukee Emo) events.
