About
Passion Pit is an American indie pop band formed in 2007 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The band was initially a solo project by Michael Angelakos, who wrote and performed songs as a Valentine's Day gift for his then-girlfriend. The name "Passion Pit" was inspired by a term from the Variety Slanguage Dictionary, referring to drive-in theaters known for their privacy and romantic allure for teenagers.
