Perro Mundo
About
Perro Mundo is an underground hardcore punk band based in Chicago, Illinois, with deep ties to the Midwest DIY circuit, including frequent appearances in the Milwaukee and Wisconsin scenes. Drawing influence from 80s melodic hardcore (notably Hüsker Dü and later-era Blitz), the band performs high-energy tracks with lyrics in both Spanish and English. They are known for their raw yet melodic sound, political themes, and powerful gang vocals. The group features members Carlos (vocals), Fernando (bass/vocals), Rob (guitar), Brian (guitar), and Lupe (drums). Their discography includes a 2025 Demo and the 'Xicago' EP released via Extinction Burst, the latter receiving acclaim for its unique blend of traditional Midwest hardcore and punk rock melody.
