Plague of Carcosa is a Chicago-based instrumental doom and sludge metal project formed in 2016 by guitarist Eric Zann. Drawing inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft and cosmic horror, the band creates dense, atmospheric, and heavily downtuned 'Cthulhu doomnoise.' Originally a solo project, it expanded into a trio featuring Alexander Adams on drums and A. Scott Grant on guitar. They are recognized for their wordless storytelling and crushing sonic weight, notably on releases such as 'The Colour Out Of Space' (2017), 'Ocean Is More Ancient Than The Mountains' (2019), and 'In the Dreamless Deep' (2025).
