Preston Cooper

About

Preston Cooper is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who rose to prominence within the Milwaukee music scene before signing with a major label in Nashville. Known for his raw, soulful vocals and introspective songwriting, Cooper first gained a following in the Midwest underground with his indie-folk releases, including the albums 'The Last One' (2020) and 'Everything Is Quiet' (2022). Born in Fredericktown, Ohio—where he earned the nickname 'The Singing Mailman' while working for the USPS—he spent several years based in Milwaukee, becoming a regular performer at local staples like Anodyne Coffee and receiving frequent airplay on Radio Milwaukee (88Nine). In 2024, he moved to Nashville and signed with The Valory Music Co. (a division of Big Machine Label Group), transitioning toward a more expansive country-rock sound with his 2025 debut album, 'Toledo Talkin'.
