Private Oates
About
Private Oates is a premier Hall & Oates tribute band and yacht rock collective based in the Twin Cities. Formed in 2013, the group is comprised of veteran musicians from the Minneapolis indie music scene, including members of Al Church & The Congregation, BB GUN, Fort Wilson Riot, and the Gaelynn Lea band. Fronted by multi-instrumentalist Al Church, the band is known for high-energy, faithful recreations of 1970s and 80s pop hits, particularly the catalog of Daryl Hall & John Oates. They have even received a public endorsement from John Oates himself. While primarily active in the Minnesota circuit at venues like First Avenue and the Fine Line, they are a staple of the regional Upper Midwest festival and event scene.
