Proclamation was a prominent straight edge hardcore band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, active during the early 2000s. The group was a significant fixture in the city's underground DIY community and was one of the early acts associated with Seventh Dagger Records, a label with deep roots in the Milwaukee scene. They are best remembered for their 2004 self-titled 7-inch EP (frequently referred to as the 'Straight Edge' EP), which featured aggressive, fast-paced hardcore and lyrics centered on the straight edge lifestyle. The band was a staple at local venues such as the Shorewood Legion Hall and the Globe East before disbanding in the mid-2000s.
