Psychodelic

About

Calliope (often tagged as "Psychodelic" in underground circles and on their own metadata) is an organ-driven psych-rock quartet formed in a Milwaukee basement in 2011. The band features a heavy, reverberated garage rock sound that draws comparisons to 1960s acts like The Doors and The Animals, infused with modern stoner and blues rock influences. Their debut self-titled album (2013) established them in the Milwaukee DIY scene, followed by the critically acclaimed 'Orbis' (2014), which was recorded in a remote cabin in Northern Wisconsin. The band is a staple of the Milwaukee Psych Fest and the Riverwest neighborhood's music scene.
