Retirement Party is an American emo band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 2016. The group initially began in Troy, Michigan, under the name Sunglasses on a Plane, before changing their name to Retirement Party. They have released several albums, including "Somewhat Literate" (2018) and "Runaway Dog" (2020), and announced their return in 2023 after a brief hiatus.
