ROMES
About
Romes is a Canadian electronic rock duo from Toronto, Ontario, consisting of brothers Jacob and Nicolas Bitove. The duo's music blends elements of electronic rock, hip-hop, hard rock, and alternative rock, creating a distinctive sound that has been described as 'punktronic.' They draw influences from 90s grunge, electro, industrial, and dance-punk, with comparisons to bands like Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, and Justice. Since their formation in 2016, Romes has released several singles and EPs, including their self-produced EP 'My Demons Are My Best Friends' in 2021 and their debut album 'SONIC TRASH' in 2025. The brothers have also collaborated with Moog, Alesis, and Neural DSP, highlighting their approach to sound design and production. In 2024, they were hired to score and produce multiple tracks for 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 6,' alongside Jack Wall. The duo has supported artists such as The Strokes, Silversun Pickups, The Warning, and Saint Asonia, and have been featured on Spotify's New Music Friday US and Canada's Top 20 Rock Songs playlists.
