About
Sijjin is a Berlin-based death/thrash metal power trio formed in 2019 by Malte Gericke and Iván Hernández following the dissolution of the cult act Necros Christos. Joined by Spanish guitarist Ekaitz Garmendia, the band plays a frantic, technical, and occult style of metal reminiscent of late-80s pioneers like Morbid Angel and Possessed. Their debut full-length, 'Sumerian Promises' (2021), was widely acclaimed in the underground metal scene, followed by the 2025 release 'Helljjin Combat' through Sepulchral Voice Records.
