Six Feet Under is an American death metal band formed in 1993 in Tampa, Florida. Originally a side project by Cannibal Corpse vocalist Chris Barnes and Obituary guitarist Allen West, the band became a full-time commitment after Barnes was dismissed from Cannibal Corpse in 1995. Known for their death 'n' roll style, they have released 15 albums and are listed by Nielsen Soundscan as the fourth-best-selling death metal act in the U.S.
