SKIPTRACER

About

Skiptracer (often stylized as Skip Tracer) was a significant fixture in the Milwaukee pop-punk and skate-punk scene during the late 1990s. The group was known for their high-energy performances and melodic punk sound, contributing to the city's DIY underground legacy. They released their debut album, "Triple Dog Dare," in 1997 through Crashbox Records, followed by "Six" in 1999. The band's lineup included Brian Janssen, Hans Fester, Chris Pretti, Andy Murphy, Rob Riemer, Tim Spankowski, and Eugene Reuter III. Notably, member Chris Pretti has remained an active figure in the Wisconsin creative community, directing the documentary film "Green Blah!," which chronicles the history of the Green Bay punk scene. Although primarily defunct since the early 2000s, Skiptracer reunited in March 2016 for the WMSE 35th Anniversary Punk Show at the Turner Hall Ballroom.
