Slim Neck

About

Slim Neck is the solo electronic project of Chicago-based musician Donnie Moore. Launched in 2023, the project marks a departure into dark, 'goth-infected' dance music, blending EBM, Industrial, and Italo Disco with melodic synth work. Moore, a long-time veteran of the Chicago underground music scene, released the project's debut album, 'Hostage', in August 2023, preceded by the high-energy single 'Rectify'. Slim Neck is frequently associated with the Noche Eterna dark-music collective and has become a staple in the regional Great Lakes underground circuit, performing at iconic venues such as the Empty Bottle and Cobra Lounge. While based in Chicago, the project is a key part of the broader Midwest darkwave community that heavily overlaps with the Milwaukee and Madison scenes.
