Three Springs
About
Three Springs is a Wisconsin-based power trio founded by veteran multi-instrumentalist Paul Taylor. Originally a mainstay of the Memphis music scene for over 30 years and known for his work as New Memphis Colorways, Taylor relocated to Door County in 2020. The band formed as a vehicle for his new material, featuring local rhythm section Shepley Frater on bass and Adam Cain on drums. Their sound is an eclectic mix of power-pop, funky experimentalism, and twangy rock, often inspired by the northern Wisconsin environment. The group's name pays homage to the Three Springs Nature Preserve in Sister Bay as well as the mechanical components of a Fender Stratocaster. They released their self-titled debut album in October 2024 and are active in the regional underground scene, frequently performing in Milwaukee at venues like Linneman's Riverwest Inn.
