Vicious Rumors

About

Vicious Rumors is a legendary American power metal band founded in 1979 by guitarist Geoff Thorpe. Emerging from the San Francisco Bay Area metal scene alongside bands like Metallica and Exodus, they became known for their sophisticated twin-guitar harmonies and powerful vocals. The band gained international acclaim with classic albums such as 'Soldiers of the Night' (1985) and 'Digital Dictator' (1988). Despite numerous lineup changes and the tragic death of iconic vocalist Carl Albert in 1995, Thorpe has kept the band active for over four decades. They remain a staple of the international metal touring circuit and have a strong relationship with the Wisconsin metal community, appearing frequently at the Milwaukee Metal Fest and Madison's Blades of Steel Metalfest.
