About
Zapp is an American funk band that emerged from Dayton, Ohio, in 1977. Known for their distinctive use of the talk-box effect, the original lineup featured the Troutman brothers—Roger, Larry, Lester, and Terry—alongside other members. They gained prominence with their 1980 debut album, which included the hit single "More Bounce to the Ounce," and influenced the G-funk sound in the 1990s.
