About
At The Drive-In is a seminal American post-hardcore band formed in El Paso, Texas, in 1994. Known for their explosive live performances and complex, surrealistic lyrics, the band released the landmark album 'Relationship of Command' in 2000, which is widely considered one of the most influential rock albums of the decade. Following their initial breakup in 2001, members formed the acclaimed projects The Mars Volta and Sparta. They reunited briefly in 2012 and again from 2016 to 2018, releasing their final studio album 'in•ter a•li•a'. In 2025, vocalist Cedric Bixler-Zavala confirmed the band is permanently retired.
