Gatetech is an underground noise and experimental project based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Emerging in the early 2020s, the act is known for its abrasive, high-intensity performances within the Midwest hardcore and grindcore scenes. The project gained regional visibility through its participation in the Dreary North Fest in Chicago, frequently performing alongside prominent acts such as Nak'ay, Life's Torment, and The Burden. Gatetech's sound is characterized by a blend of chaotic noise and rapid-fire grindcore structures, typical of the DIY underground scene in the Milwaukee/Chicago corridor.
