Gen-X Joplin
About
Gen-X Joplin is a Chicago-based experimental music project led by multi-instrumentalist Logan Huber (also known for his work in A Mammoth Task, Vaguewaves, and The Kreutzer Sonata). Characterized by high-speed technicality and chaotic arrangements, the project's sound is a self-described blend of mathcore, progressive punk, and avant-garde metal, drawing heavily from the technical complexity of artists like Naked City, System of a Down, and Mr. Bungle. Armed with an 8-string guitar and a relentless DIY ethic, Huber is a frequent presence in the regional underground scene, bridging the gap between the Chicago and Milwaukee music communities through frequent performances at venues like Cole's Bar and regional festivals.
