About
Gorilla Tuesday is a Chicago-based four-piece rock band formed in April 2023. Fronted by songwriter Jimmy Brown (vocals, acoustic guitar), the lineup includes Matt Shack (electric guitar), Steve Trifilio (bass), and Mick Smith (drums). The band crafts a unique sound blending indie-pop sensibilities with folk-rock roots, characterized by spirited acoustic rhythms and heavy electric solos. They released their debut EP, 'Sorry I Dropped Your Fortune Cookie,' in March 2024, followed by the 'Tigersplash' EP in August 2024. The group is active in the Midwest underground scene, frequently performing at Chicago venues like Subterranean and G-Man Tavern, and has a growing listener base in Milwaukee.
