About
Horna is a highly influential and prolific Finnish black metal band formed in 1993 by guitarist and songwriter Shatraug. Originally starting under the name Shadowed before rebranding in 1994, the group has become a pillar of the Finnish underground scene, known for their traditional, raw, and melodic approach to the genre. Lyrically focused on Satanism, occultism, and darkness, Horna has maintained an extensive discography featuring over a dozen full-length albums and dozens of EPs and split releases. Despite numerous lineup changes over the decades, the band remains a major force in the global black metal community, frequently touring internationally and appearing at major extreme metal festivals.
